IPL Scholarship - 1 year of onsite learning

Training

Candidates who sucessfully pass 5 rounds of examination and selection of IPL Scholarship and are accepted to officially become “ IPL Students” and will be able to participate in a special study program with a full scholarship. This program is based on the educational model of the IRED Institute of Education.

The training program of IPL Scholarship are assigned in the following 4 training modules:

Module 1 Cultural competence to become a free human (Be a human)

This module consists of special topics to help students knowing how to self-enlightenment. From this training strategy, they can form a system of beliefs about important issues for their life and career such as: “About learning”, “About life”, “About philosophy”, “About culture”,... They can have own measures to form self-identity and a solid foundation to become a free person/ self-managed person and a stature leader or outstanding expert later.

Module 2 Citizenship competence to become a responsible citizen (Be a citizen)

This module helps students to have insightful awareness of citizenship competencies as well as practical applications to practice their own civic roles. No country has been a great one since its founding, but human history has proven that country becomes great not only because of its great leaders, but especially thanks to its citizens. Most of the people in that country properly understand and do their “citizen” job well.

IPL Scholarship believes that no one can be a human and can be indifferent to their country and origin. Therefore, a “citizen" is first and foremost a free human and at then a responsible citizen – taking responsibility to the community and society in which he lives and the responsibility to create a state to protect human rights, his own freedom and that of others.

Module 3 Professional competence to become an excellent professional (to be a professional)

Although IPL is not a vocational program (to equip students with specific occupational skills), it is a place where IPLers can develop their spirit of “specialization” (in-depth study of a specific profession), in order to become exceptional professionals in their chosen fields.

The key message of specialization is to “pursue excellence, and success will follow”. Indeed, when we reach our excellence level and are able to always maintain it in our profession or any other fields, success will come to us inevitably.

Dialogue series “Professional practices”: a series of business talks from well-knowned experts will help students gain a practical view on different professions as well as connect with and learn from experienced leaders in their respective expertise. And from there, students have more opportunities to be "transmitted", and especially have more perspectives so they can be more confident in choosing the direction for their work, career and career.

Module 4 Leadership competence to be a pioneer (Be a leader)

This module aims to develop leadership competencies for students at 3 levels: Leading Self, leading Team, leading Organization. In this program, students learn and experience the “unique” leadership development programs in the world from 5 prestigious global training hubs: FranklinCovey, Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, Blanced Scorecard Institute, Lean Startup, and Harvard Business School. Together with the above-mentioned 3 learning modules, this last module contribute to make IPL training program the most unique and elaborate leadership development program in the country.

This training strategy help students know how to develop their leadership potentials as well as the ability to initiate creativity and breakthrough in their chosen career path.

Dialogue series on the topic “Leadership Practices”: Dialogue with guests who are famous entrepreneurs, top leaders and with these guests “dissect” real stories about leadership lead, operate, manage a business/organization/agency in the industry/field they apply leadership.

GRADUATION PROJECTS

IPL students will implement their “Graduation Project” by following “ Learning Through Serving ” (LTS) model. Specifically, upon completion of four core learning modules, students will choose a project, a job, or an activity (business-related or community-related) to work in group. As a result, students can keep learning and constructing a “self-reliant” community. Their efforts will lead to successful implementation of these projects in order to solve specific problems of particular business/ organization/ community.

To ensure that their project can deliver the best results and helps IPL students to learn as much as possible, the students need to demonstrate leadership and execution abilities, inspiration traits, problem solving skills, and ability to put theory into practice, as well as to show their progress/development of the training period by proving real results.

The evaluation of these projects (i.e. Graduation Projects) will be conducted by a Evaluation Council consisting of: BOD representatives of PACE Institute of Management, BOM representatives of IPL Scholarship, Mentoring Experts (if necessary), and BOA representatives of IPL Scholarship. TRAINING METHODS

In each module, the training program will be delivered through:

Courses / Courses : A collection of rigorously selected training subjects that creating the fundamental understanding of each core competency and strengthen the critical capacity, self-reflection ability for each individual.
Talks/ Dialogues: A series of exchanges, dialogues and sharing sessions to connect leading and influential experts in many fields with IPL students and the IPL community. IPL students can also participate as organizers of these dialogues and represent the young generation to debate and share different viewpoints.
Books/ Encourage reading: Reading is an important and indispensable learning activity for students in the training program of IPL Scholarship. The selected books in the program are classic and unique books that help to develop the competencies of being a free person, being a responsible citizen and being an excellent professional. During the program, IPL students have the chance to read diversified books carefully and share useful lessons from books, as well as their views and application ideas about that book.

In addition to the three main training methods - Courses, Talks, and Books mentioned above, the training contents are deepened and deployed more diversely through special activities including: Book Discussion , Movie Discussion , Teach to Learn , Peer Feedback , Talk, Sharing, Mentoring, Coaching , Team Building, Outdoor Activities,... These activities are held in many different forms and locations.

There are also activities to build the IPL community into a trusted young leaders comunity in Vietnam, as well as provide opportunities to connect IPL community, IPL students with prestigious individuals and organizations domestically and internationally.
